Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) New Delhi requires bright, young dynamic persons for filling up 115 Vacancies for the post of Scientist-B in various Engineering Disciplines. Eligible Engineering Graduates (B.E./B.Tech) are required to Register Online from 6th December to 24th December 2013.
About: BIS, a statutory body under the administrative control of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Govt. of India, is the National Standards Body of India and is responsible for activities in the field of Standardization, Product and System Certification, Hallmarking of Gold/Silver Jewellery, Laboratory Testing etc., in the country.

Discipline wise Vacancies: Mechanical - 31, Civil - 24, Metallurgical - 09, Chemical - 08, Electrical - 31, Computer Engineering/ Computer Science - 10, Textile - 02.
Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent in required discipline with not less than 60% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST candidates).
Age Relaxation: 5 Years for SC/ST candidates; 03 Years for OBC candidates; 10 Years for PWD (Gen) candidates; 15 Years for PWD(SC/ST) Candidates; 13 Years for PWD(OBC) Candidates; 50 years for Departmental candidates serving in BIS.
Selection Process: Online Examination / Interview (Candidates who have been shortlisted in the online examination will subsequently be called for an Interview.)
Application Fee: A Non-refundable fee of Rs. 750/- payable through Online Mode. No fees is required to be paid by SC/ST/ Ex-Serviceman/ PWD/Women Candidates.
