Educational Qualification: Matriculation or its equivalent with at least 50% marks in the aggregate. This condition shall not be insisted upon in the case of those candidates who possess any educational qualification higher than matriculation. The condition of minimum 50% marks shall not apply in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST community and also those who are physically handicapped persons. Possession of Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in Music (Vocal) from Government recognized Institute.
Desirable Qualification: Experience in the field and performance given on AIR / Doordarshan etc. Prizes won at national level.
Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates - By 5 years; OBC candidates - By 3 years; Physically Handicapped Persons - By 10 years. The post of Clerk is identified as suitable for persons with disabilities (i.e. Physically Handicapped persons).
Selection Process: The eligible candidates who apply against Cultural Quota will be assessed on the basis of written test (Objective type questions) and assessment of talent in the relevant field on the basis of (i) Practical demonstration & (ii) Testimonials / Prizes etc. The persons appointed as Clerk against Cultural quota will be required to possess proficiency in Typing within a period of two years from the date of appointment and their appointment will be provisional subject to acquiring the typing qualification within the stipulated period.
